The world's best-loved musical, THE SOUND OF MUSIC is breaking all box office records in this dazzling new production at the London Palladium - Now booking until MARCH 2008. Hit follows hit in the THE SOUND OF MUSIC score which touches the hearts of all ages and brims over with some of the most memorable songs ever performed on the musical stage including My Favorite Things, Do-Re-Mi, Edelweiss, Climb Ev'ry Mountain, Sixteen Going on Seventeen, The Lonely Goatherd and of course the glorious title song The Sound of Music. THE SOUND OF MUSIC stars the recently discovered bright new talent of musical theatre, Connie Fisher, voted to play the part of Maria by the British public on the top-rating BBC TV programme How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria? Connie Fisher does not perform on Monday evenings or Wednesday matinees. Aoife Mulholland (also a finalist in 'How do you solve a Problem Like Maria') plays Maria on these days. Alexander Hanson (Sunset Boulevard, We Will Rock You) plays Captain Von Trapp. This timeless family classic is directed by Jeremy Sams who is joined by renowned choreographer Arlene Phillips and designer Robert Jones to bring this vibrant new production to the London stage. Please Note: Upper Circle Row A and B at the Palladium are classed as restricted view with a handrail. Connie Fisher is confirmed to play the role of Maria until February 2008. Connie Fisher will be on holiday between 16th-28th July 2007 and 13th and 24th November 2007. During this time Aoife Mulholland will play six performances and Sophie Bould will cover Monday evening and Wednesday matinee. Also, Connie Fisher does not perform the matinee performances on the 26th and 27th of December 2007 and 2nd, 3rd of January 2008 and the evening performances on the 28th of December 2007 and 4th of January 2008.
